Summer Plans and Other Things

It’s funny how you can think you’ve got your life mapped out. Until a few months ago, I thought I was going to get a job teaching in Boston and settle down there. So I made plans for an awesome trip to Europe with a friend since it probably would be a while before I could travel again. I also got a summer job for the month of July teaching English as a foreign language on the North Shore in Massachusetts.

Cut to today, and I’m busy planning for three major dates this summer:

  • June 16: Leave for a two-week trip to Europe!
  • July 5: Start my summer job!
  • August 17: Leave for Morocco!

I’m beyond blessed and privileged to have these experiences coming up. I certainly don’t take them for granted. Sometimes your life plans don’t work out the way you want them to. And once in a while, that’s the best thing that could have happened to you.
